Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services: Our hospita is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health needs.
Referral Services and Second Opinions: Since we are also known as New Rochelle Veterinary Associates; consultations with a variety of board certified specialists are routinely available at our facility or at their own offices. We are happy to offer second opinions on cases, and to direct you to the best possible veterinarian without pressure to use our services unless you request our involvement.
Exotics: Avians, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits and pocket pets, including hamsters, guinea pigs and;gerbils, are offered a full range of medical treatment .
Surgical Services: Abdominal and Thoracic as well as Ocular and Orthopedic surgery are routinely performed. Ovariohysterectomy (spaying) , Orchetomy (neutering), and Onchectomy (declawing) are provided daily. Oral and Exploratory surgery, and lapascopic proceedures using radiowave (similar to laser) are carried out with the upset of care and sterility.
Anesthesia: Isoflourine and Sevoflourine, to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for older or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored with an oscillascope and a pulse oximeter during all anesthetic procedures. Our patients will also benifit from a respiratory monitor and dopler blood pressure measurement. We take pride on how we prevent and manage pain, both in hospital and at home.
Radiology Services: On-site, radiology equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis. A 300 miliamp Bennet Radiograph Machine, Rare Earth inyensifying screens and a automatic developer provide consistant diagnostic imagery. We are associated with Multi Imaging near Cornell University Veterinary School where board certified radiologists are always available.
Electrocardiography Services: We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists. A brand knew quick, hand-held instrument can provide a complete ECG in the exam room while you wait.
Ultrasound: We have in-house state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment and employ board-certified consultants several times weekly.
Endoscopy Examinations: We perform endoscopy of the gastrointestinal tract and body cavity for diagnosis, biopsies, and surgery, both in-house and by board-certified specialists.
Blood-Pressure Dopler Measurement:Available for anaesthesia monitoring, routine examination, and the diagnosis of high or low blood pressure. Blood-pressure dopler measurement can lead to early intervention in many serious conditions.
Laboratory: We have a complete in house laboratory were we can run Complete Blood Counts, Serum Chemistry, Urinalysis, Heartworm, Lyme, Erlichia, Feline Leukemia & Feline ImmunoVirus tests in just minutes. Other assorted stat testing is also available. Fortunately we receive twice daily pickups and results from our outside laboatory including stat results.Anetct Laboratories also provides us with world famous boarded consultants daily when ever needed.
Pharmacy:On site, our pharmacy is very complete. We carry almost every routine medication you would expect and even some you would be surprized at. Furthermore we will compound and flavor medications as requested. There is a full line of vitamens, neutriceuticals, shampoos, heartworm, flea/tick preventitives and many other pruducts which can be delivered to your home.Thinking of a Internet Pharmacy? Dietary Counseling: We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.A complete line of both Hills and Iams Veterinary diets stock. There are special diets for heart, kidney, diabetic, weight loss, allergies and many others. If you call us with any special diet requests on Monday/Tuesday we usually will have you order by Thursday.
Behavioral Counseling: Advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression is available and comes with 35 years of experience.
Boarding: We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. Outdoor runs are covered and the wards are air-conditioned . Our staff will administer all medications during boarding stays. Discount baths are available for all boarders, and boarders who stay for a week or more will receive a complimentary bath.
